Big Problems, Simple Solutions
The problem of "Literacy" was already discussed but we got few good suggestions from our readers. I am just sharing them here. Some of the more simple ways to increase "Literacy" rate are here:
1. We can teach the guards, cleaners and other housekeeping boys at our work place also. But for this, We need the support and permission of our company. Give this idea to your HR people.
2. Try to locate a govt. school or a low profile school( where poor children are going) in or nearby your locality. You can teach or interact with the students and can increase their morale. It gives a lot of happiness to them that some " Software Engineer or a Professional" is coming to teach them. You can set the timing according to your convenience.
First idea was given by my friend Sachin arora and Silky jain. Actually, HCL is currently doing this job of teaching guards and cleaners. My friend ,Deeksha Mehta, one of the employee of HCL, is giving them computer knowledge. Keep it up dear.
My friend, Vaibhav anand, tried to get involve in "Teach India- an initiative by TOI" but he was unable to go through successfully because of timing problem. He was asked to teach in weekdays between 12.00 p.m to 2.00 p.m. But if you negotiate yourself with the principal of the school, I think this problem will get solved automatically.
Many of my HCL friends, Neha, Deeksha, Sweety and many others are going in some school (decided by HCL itself) to teach poor children during weekdays (early morning).
HCL and its employees are really doing a good job.
Last Week Problem's Solution:
"Voting" is really very important for a country's progress. It's so important that in some countries like Australia, Belgium, Argentina and other countries in Latin America where voting is mandatory. In these countries, skipping your right to vote may cause you a fine. You can also read the attached article for more information.
Thanks to Sachin for sharing this information.
Please share your viewpoint on the current week's solution. Its really very important and valuable also.
Thanks.

Monika Bindal
